Ok. Over the past few months.
I've had problems with my computer. From RAM to graphics cards to pissing on it (joke. I spilled beer on it).
It's mostly sorted now. I'll save my distain for another time.
Anywhoo. I got a 'plug and play' subwoofer and two speakers. They worked fine, until yesterday. Once I finaly sorted out many probs that with this computer.
Yet I'll be fucked! I can't get them working! I can get the two little speakers going. But the woofer. No idea. The little ones are powered by the woofer. So I know it's getting power. When I unplug/plug in it makes sound so I know it works.
But, it doesn't work with vids or music. The little ones do.
Truly. I need this sorted soon. There is a justine beiber fan club gathering tomorrow. They have been allowed to use the house I live in. To preen their hair and drink non-alcoholic drinks(I shudder as I right this). Before they go out to 'hang around'.
Ok. Starting to ramble.
Any Idea on the sound thing?

OK. Try this Right click the speaker icon. Click Adjust Audio Properties. Click speaker volume. See if there is a separate volume control for the sub, if there is turn it up. It may not say sub just channel 3 or another number.
All sound cards are different. If that don't help see if you have your sound card set for 2.1 or 5.1. If it is just set for stereo the sub won't have no input.

Didn't work.
Still no base.
Guess I'll just have to sit in the middle of the justine crowd.
Turn on the real system (didn't want to. But it may have to be done).
I must admit. Music is music. I may not like some. But, when its forced on you. It's not music anymore.
Cheers for the tip. Wes.

Talking of sound. My lap top has this weird click, more like the sound of a page turning. Its more pronounced when my cam is on then it sounds like aliens are tuning in and trying to talk haha but the everyday click noise is very faint but noticeable. Any idea's guys??

The only thing I can think of at the moment is that it is your hard drive Shee. It is the only moving part. But if the sound increases when using your cam makes me think it is the CPU but I don't think it should make any noise. If it is the Hard Drive making the sound it could be an indication that your hard drive is about to fail. If that is the case might be a good idea to back up any photos or stuff you want in case it does. Here is a link to a site that will give you some sound to compare it to. Might help you diagnose it. datacent.com/hard_drive_sounds.php
