On my birthday as I sat outside this really cool moth landed on me and hung out on my hand and arm for almost 45 minutes! I even made him a box full of grass and dirt hoping he would nest himself in. Next day he wasn't in the box anymore so I dumped his little bed and brought in the box. Well guess what? Later that day the guy was back on my back porch so I once again made him a little home and took him into my room. Poor little thing didn't make it, seems his body began to detach at the "rings" I have never seen a species like this in Missouri or anywhere else for that matter, I looked it up on the internet and found two species that it could be, either an Oleander or Lime Moth. Any ideas, or has anyone else seen one like this? The camouflage coloring was very perfected I thought! The little guy let me pet him and everything, when I first put him in the box he even climbed on flaps back onto my hand! I guess it was a present from the universe~

OMG Lucid, if that landed on me ,my family would be picking my plot... I would have died on the spot... moths give me the heegie jeebies, frighten the kack out of me they do. Butterflies no problem, just something about moths scare me to death (shivers). Talking of butterflies, a huge yellow one kept landing on me while in Greece. I got a lovely pic of it, I'll see if I can hunt it out sometime... they say they are messengers from the dead.

It was not like any moth i have seen before......Isn't it cool You are so lucky, I noticed you mentioned traveling to Scotland and now Greece! I would love to see other places besides this country! When they land on you it just makes you feel special! I haven't watched the vid posted yet....but will in a minute, even though I might get freaked!

Moths I can handle, now spiders scare the crap out of me, we get these things all the time, the dreaded huntsman spider, they get up to 6 inches across.

I think most all of us are fearful of spiders, especially the big ones! If one of those in that pic got on me I might just have a heart attack!
Brill, the video was disabled.............Don't cha just hate it when that happens?
