I took these photos of this tree in the summer of 2010, in Jefferson, Texas. It is amazing to see how this tree grew right through the fence. It sits on a historical piece of property, next door to my friend's house. I’m sure this fence is almost 100 years old, if not older. It is almost scary looking to me. www.coasttocoastam.com/photo/view/amazing_tree/49057 ;D

AB my father and his brothers stuck nails and screwdrivers into young trees when they were small kids to see how the tree would grow with the stuff in it. My dad showed the tree and all the things they stuck in the tree were now about 8 or 9 feet higher and the tree had grownup around all of the object except for one nail that somehow was being pushed out of the tree. Haven't thought about that in years. Thanks AB

Geez Darryl. Sheep's now trees..you don't have animals do you??? When we bought our current house I noticed out back for some odd reason they had a tension wire attached to 2 branches in the Bean tree. (Yes a Bean tree!!) The other branches had grown right into it and we had to cut it out. It looked so funny, I have never seen anyone use a tension wire to hold up tree branches before! ;D
