iceland volcano spat out 1,000-ton rock Rock out ... volcano Eyjafjallajokull spat out huge boulderTHIS 1,000-ton rock was spat out by the awesome force of an erupting volcano. The picture was taken after Iceland's infamous Eyjafjallajokull volcano burst into life this March. Ash spewing from the eruption grounded flights and left thousands of holidaymakers stranded across Europe. Icelandic photographer Ragnar Sigurdsson captured the spectacular scenes as he documented the progress of the eruption - even bravely flying over the bubbling crater. They include eerie shots of lightning flickering around the volcano as red hot lava shot into the air. Sigurdsson, 52, has amassed 10,000 pictures of Eyjafjallajokull, which is not currently spewing, and many feature in his book Untamed Nature. It has already run to two editions. Now a third contains even more dramatic sights - like the massive piece of debris dwarfing a person standing beside it. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3246517/Iceland-volcano-Eyjafjallajokull-spat-1000-ton-rock.html

not much point in ducking if thats coming at ya,and just think, the ancients could move ,lift and place rock heavier than 1000 tonnes then lift them 30 feet high to place on top of other rocks. It blows my mind ,how?
