So the other day I went to the beach and I was standing on some rocks with my brother in-law. The water was teaming with life. Orange jelly fish, krill, salmon, birds and seals.
I was starting to walk up the trail when all of a sudden I heard my bro yell " WHALES". I turned around to see a pod of orca's coming right for the tip he was standing on. I saw one, then two, then three............then the mother of all orcas appeared.
She was huge.
At one point the whales were ten feet away but my mother in-law didn't get the camera going quick enough. We managed to get a bit but at a distance.
The next day we thought we would go back. My brother in law said "how long do you think we have to sit here before we see them." Jokingly I said" who knows maybe ten minutes." At that moment I saw them. There MUST HAVE BEEN 20. They were everywhere. They were a little out but the jumps they were doing, spectacular.
It was a brilliant moment but the camera was lacking a zoom lens, so it does no justice for the real life event .
I made a vid last night ..............so here it is enjoy.

I fooking love BC.
The first time I ever did scuba was off some Island (I was about 10 or 12).
My dads mate lived in a lighthouse on a rock. Think he worked for UBC at the time.
Got shit on something fierce after they played a joke on me and told me to go and count the birds eggs.
