Oddly enough despite his making matyushenko look like a rank amateur jones's win was not the most impressive of the night. that went to Gomi who proved he was still the baddest japanese fighter in the world with his knockout of tyson griffin who had never been stopped before. all in all a great fight card.

I saw the Gomi fight this morning before work, but the Jones one wouldn't play. I was waiting to get home to catch it cause I knew you had already. Jones was dominant, yeah you're right not exciting, but he beat a seasoned vet and is now ready for the next level. Gomi, that punch was fierce. I've seen Griffen hit with some bombs and not even flinch. Yet he dropped face first. Gomi's got his confidence back. He will be an extremely dangerous force. I will kill two birds with one stone. Quick mind Drex, I wouldn't have thought of that connection, but your bang on. Silva/Griffin, Jones/Bonner has proved what I had mentioned. The evolution of the sport. After season one of TUF Griffin and Bonner were considered the future of the sport. How passe. They have become tomato cans. The intriguing aspect for me, is in 10 years, how will the fighters evolve from Jones, Silva and GSP. Are we talking Mortal Combat?
