saw a post at dtv about how the earth is actually growing in size. what struck me about the whole thing was how much work has been put into this theory. whether its true or not i don't know but i respect the research that has been done because it is very good. i brought it here because of course at dtv the comments following the op were as dumb as you'd expect. someone even redlined the dumb meter by suggesting the earth will one day be a star........obviously not a planetary scientist or just a layman with common sense.......the meter was broke on the next comment when someone suggested that the earth will indeed become a star i think in the year 2013. that's how you kill alternate science............when freaks start championing your cause. luckily the people or person behind the expanding earth theory does not ever make that claim. check out the site.......they have really done their homework. www.expanding-earth.org/

ACCRETION OF MATTER FROM SPACE GRADUALLY INCREASING EARTH’S MASS, GRAVITY, SURFACE AREA AND DIAMETER www.expanding-earth.org/I think this makes a lot of sense. If the Earth is continually receiving mass from meteors etc, it has to be getting bigger.

wikipedia has a nice article that overs all the growing and expanding earth theories. its only real counter against the theory is that scientists do seem to have found clear cut evidence of subduction which goes against the expanding earth theory. yet the widely held belief that the earth is tectonically active doesn't seem to answer a lot of the questions that have been raised. i think the expanding earth theory might not be as convincing as the electric universe theory but still has its intriguing points. here is the wiki entry...... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expanding_Earth

i didn't realize that vid on that site either. i was thinking the person who did the vid and the website i linked to were competing theories. there is the growing earth people and the expanding earth people. not to mention small factions that have slightly altered versions within each group.
