did you catch the fight?
two things i noticed.
first is that abraham complains about low blows all the time simply because he uses that as an excuse to take cheap shots.
second is dirrell's acting ability. i'm sure it didn't feel good getting hit with a shot when he was on the ground......but that delayed reaction and his "where am i? what day it is" act was sad. that is the kinda trick you expect to see out of some well seasoned journeyman who know all the tricks to win. dirrell being a young fighter with a lot to prove should have made sure the ref saw then jumped up ready to kick ass. instead dirrell took the easy way out by acting like he just got his eggs scrambled.
makes me seriously question what kind of heart he has.

I thought the k.o was legit. Until the ref steps in and really steps in, you are game. Dirrell is a hell of a boxer and was winning the fight, then he turtled and pussied out. I am an Abraham fan and hate to see this blemish on his record Abraham is a seasoned vet, but yeah, I saw the same with the low blows. When you admire someone, you don't really notice these things until it is pointed out and when you watch it a second time, it becomes apparent.

noooooo. not legit at all. fighter on his knees is an automatic disqualification if you hit him. he even looked before he hit and saw dirrell was on his knees. its like saying until the ref says stop you can hit a guy in the back of the head all you want. abraham was shown to be a very poor loser and dirrell a very poor winner.
personally i view it as a non fight. yeah it counts in favor of dirrell but i think they both lost which means draw.

A non fight is a good call.
Weird night. Martinez beats Pavlik, Bute destroys Miranda, Shields beats Hendo, and Lawal beats Mousasi. Thank God I don't bet

Such an off weekend, wow. I was blown away by the upsets. I figured Bute would win, but Miranda is such a huge puncher, you never know. But he looked weak.
Ya think Sugar Shane takes out Money? I think he might. He's got the power and the speed, yeah a bit older but after taking down the iron chinned Margarito I say Mayweather is fooked, Anyways here's to a good fight!

as i have said before slith..........i am not a mayweather fan but i have learned to never doubt him. i did read where mayweather tried to pull his drug test stunt again on mosley. now its gone from a possible legitimate concern as with manny to just a sad way for him to try and fuck with the head of his opponents. i'm thinking he is concerned about mosley just like he was with manny. he never pulled these stunts before.

Mosley does have a history with "enhancements" so to speak, but yeah, you're right, Mayweather is playing mind games. He's always had a big mouth, just not like this. He should be concerned, for sure

i've always liked mosley. he just went so downhill after his first loss in the early 2000s and never quite made it back to his superstar status. the elite boxers and the boxing community need to quit putting so much emphasis on being undefeated. in mma its looked at as a growing process. something you learn from. in boxing it can mean the end of a career if the fighter doesn't bounce back with a string of spectacular wins.
mayweather knows this. so as long as he can keep his undefeated record by dodging dangerous opponents or opting for cheap tricks he can demand big money.
