The Truth Behind the 'Floating' Pyramid of Egypt
"Surrounded by a mysterious trench, only one Egyptian pyramid was ever constructed to look like it floats on water; experts decode the ancient secrets of the pyramid that are locked inside its hidden tunnels."
That was the blurb for Season 8 Episode 8 of the Science Channel’s Unearthed, which first aired in January 2021, an episode called 'Egypt’s Floating Pyramid', that being the Pyramid of Senusret II.
It’s the same pyramid I featured in my last video, located at El Lahun, in the Faiyum region of Egypt.
The Unearthed documentary features many credible Egyptologists and archaeologists, it’s presented as real archaeology – factual and accurate – and the whole concept of a floating pyramid illusion is something I had never heard of before.
Of course I wanted to investigate further, and I’m glad I did.
And to clarify, of course the show was not literally implying a floating pyramid, but a pyramid complex that was completely submerged with Nile floodwaters – by design – by order of Pharaoh Senusret II.
But are the claims fact or fiction? Is there really any evidence that the mighty pharaoh wanted to create the illusion of a floating pyramid? Watch the video to find out.

Too many times MSM Documentries makes claims that can taint the truth!
I dont even see these type of pyramids as tombs,i see them more as power plants that had a fanctional purpose!
