Ok, its early Sunday morning. It’s cold and I’ve not even got a hangover. So, a lot of pent up thought has gone into this. Take what you want from it, criticize it, I am man enough to accept both negative and positive.
I will try to keep it short and simple so most can understand.
In my opinion, this whole ‘climate change’ debacle was/is a scam. What was it two years ago it was called, ‘global warming’. No, I don’t deny man can affect his climate, I still remember when half of Quebec Canada was dying from acid rain due to the factories in the US. But, these were all localised and were not on a global scale. The thing is, the climate is, and does change. We are now in one of the longest solar minimums since the Maunder Minimum (1645-1715) which surprisingly is called the ‘little ice age’ where average global temperatures dropped 1-1.5C. www.gsfc.nasa.gov/topstory/20011207iceage.html
The Copenhagen meetings were all about damage limitation, not saving the planet. They were meeting to decide how to get more money (for whatever) from the people, before the people ‘clocked on’ to the scam. If significant cooling does happen in the near future, they could say, ‘See! Look! What we agreed in Denmark has worked. We were right!’ The masses would cheer.
But, I would still say ‘Fucking Liars.’
Now, the science bit. Although I may refer to web sites, the numbers are sound. I just couldn’t be arsed to find the books.
Let’s look at what the atmosphere is made of:
Gases in earth's atmosphere
• Nitrogen (N2) 78.084%
• Oxygen (O2) 20.946%
• Argon (Ar) 0.934%
• Carbon dioxide (CO2) 0.0383%
• Neon (Ne) 0.001818%
• Helium (He) 0.000524%
• Methane (CH4) 0.0001745%
• Krypton (Kr) 0.000114%
• Hydrogen (H2) 0.000055%
• There is also a varying amount of water vapour, about 1%

For simplicity, the atmosphere is 99% Nitrogen and Oxygen. Look at that CO2 0.04%? This is what we are trying to stop? This number increasing? Do you know why this number is so low?
Nitrogen has an atomic weight of 14, Oxygen, 16 and Carbon 12.
So, CO2 (which make 0.04% of the atmosphere) would weigh 44 (12+ 16*2). I won’t even get into density, because carbon is almost twice as dense as the other two.

What happens when you put something both heavier and denser than water, into water? It sinks. The same with gasses, I can accept there will be some convection keeping gasses within the atmosphere. But, the reason there is only 0.04% in the atmosphere, is because it sinks. Kinda handy plants can’t fly and are earth bound, isn’t it?
But, the meeting was about reducing Carbon emissions, not just CO2 you say? To my knowledge (I may be wrong), only Hydrogen combustion produces no carbon emission all others do.
So, in my onion, this meeting was not about saving the planet. It was about $$$$$$$$$$.
