Beautiful best friends. And a fantastic true story. I lived for a while on Rhodes, Greece and visit quite a lot. There was a pack of about twenty stray pooches that used to run wild, every day they used to run the same route around the same time. I always wondered where they went to, then one day we were waiting for the car to be serviced. Along came a Greek local on a motorbike, hanging off his handlebars were heavy bags. He whistled and out of know where the pack of pooches I had seen each day for months came running around the corner, he fed them all fresh meat and beef bones. He then went into the shop to buy bottles of water for them. Once they had their fill he rolled on the ground playing with them. It was an extraordinary sight to see and very heart warming. I got talking to him, he said each morning he would go to the meat market, the guys there kept all the scraps for him and the bones for him to feed the strays, he had a name for them all and said they were his babies. A lovely bloke who will get his reward for such a lovely deed at some point. As will you

My neighbours have a stray dog that adopted on a holiday to Greece by coincidence. Toxic that dog looks related to my dog, and people ask me the same thing about what breed he is too lol. He was born to an abandoned hunting dog that had her litter in the walls around a tomb next to my garden, we found homes for all the other puppies but no one would take mutley, so we kept him! this is the name plaque on his vets....

Strange that! My vet said she thought he was a German cross breed. A type of dog they used for hunting. He has a beautiful nature. When we meet the small nasty type dogs yapping at him and who have a problem with all big dogs, he just stands there and looks at me with those big eyes as if he is saying. Just give me the word....As you can see from my picture my cat kipper and him are best mates. The more I get to know my dog the less I like people...

LOl, my dog just ignores them as if they don't exist, we are in a very rural spot in a valley surrounded by mountains & the dogs are like a community unto themselves, mutley being top dog this side of the river. On tuesday mornings a mobile butchers turns up and hands out a big bone, mutley goes down & finds whoever has the bone & pinches it. He likes cats too, the only time he barks at them is when they are up a tree, but I think he is telling them to get down, because he does the same bark if I climb a tree too. Full centerfold for any bitches looking at the forum lol
