I expected the Earth to be brighter than that. We can see Mars at night, and the Earth is bigger than Mars, plus we have reflective Clouds.

yeah unless filtering took away some of the earths brightness, it sure were dullish, perhaps that's why NO other stars were visible either LOL.

Not sure where the Sun was when this photo was taken, but maybe the Sun was behind the Earth at the time. No direct sunlight shining on the Earth.
