ok so i'm making homemade chicken noodle soup.......well semi homemade. i did use one pack of a starter kit.
i used about 6 cans of broth to boil my chicken in with some green opinions and celery. let it sit over night. so tonight while i was putting it all together i got a wild hair up my ass and decided to cut some thin lemon slices and let it boil into the stock before throwing in the soup mix and chicken. it was actually pretty damn awesome. the lemon gave it this little kick here or there but it was not overwhelming.
you ever heard of this before? or am i the chicken soup god? please say i am the god of chicken soup...............everytime i think i have done something clever i find out its old news.........

Honestly, I have never heard of lemon slices in chicken noodle soup, But chicken and citrus work very well together. Usually oranges. So it makes sense. Yes sir, you are the God of chicken soup. I give you that for doing something I never would have thought of. The imagination in cooking is a wonderful thing. I have to tell you I am intrigued by this. I gotta try it. Right on man.

hey if you bastards can drown your sorrows in alcohol i can boil my opinions in chicken broth!!! now back to me being a soup god..........yeah i love citrus and chicken. my wife found some lemon/lime salt at the liquor store or as she calls it "church" that you use for taking shots of tequila. i used it as a rub for roasting chicken and it worked out great. ok looked up kotosoupa..........*sigh* seems as though i am late once again to the party.....thanks for bursting my bubble concrete.........though it is my onion that it didn't have enough opinions in it.
