I dunno how you all feel about Americas wars. Personaly I've always questioned both. I just can't believe that a guy in a cave managed to organise what happened in New York in 2001, without outside help. 8 years on, nobody is the wiser as to where a guy who needs dialysis, is. Anyway. Whatever is happening, it's gunna go on for a while. news.antiwar.com/2009/11/24/house-democrats-eye-war-tax/I don't entirely agree with a sustained conflict in the ME either, the Columbia/Venuzuela thing looks to be getting interesting as well. I truley won't be suprised if there is a draft. Of course it won't be called a draft, but thats what it'll be.

Thye can tax people on $250 000 a year whatever the hell they want, wont effect me in the least, I earn most of my money from a business in the Cayman Islands.........shit shouldnt have mentioned that eh?
As regards to the war, both unwinable I am afraid, They may quieten iraq down some, but trouble in that country is never going to be far away. You cant have a stable country when the 3 thirds of the population, the Shites, the Sunnis and the Kurds all hate and mistrust each other. Thats what you get when you cobble togeather a country out of three dispirate peoples after WW2.
Afganistan, simply unwinable, in any sense, the country and its people live for war and conflict, always have always will. I have said before, the future Afgani fighters of that war are only now being born.

i actually believe the opposite. i think the afghan conflict can be won but iraq is a black hole sucking in blood and money.
realistically we have screwed both of them up so horribly and i see no sign of doing anything to right the wrongs.
bin laden didn't plan 9/11. he was probably like "oh shit i'm in trouble" when he heard the news.

I prefer to think Osamas thinking went more along the lines "if your gonna blame me, I will take the credit".

Osama was laughin all the way to the bank on that one, he couldnt lose, the set up made him look like a hero to the extreme muslims, garrenteed him increased finances, he also knew the americans wouldnt really look to hard for him because they needed him out there to be the boogey man.
