one of the best books i have ever read, it is composed of interveiws of the early punk scene. Interveiws of sooo many people and bands, such as Iggy Pop, Richard Hell, johnny thunders, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Jim Morrison, Joey Ramone, Johnny Rotten Danny Fields, Dee Dee Ramone, Malcom McLaren, Jim Carroll, David Johansen, Sid Vicious, Nico, Patti Smith, Debbie Harry, Wayne Kramer, and sooooooo many others such an awesome read and really well put out, it pretty much starts with the doors and Lou Read and goes on from there. I have read this book more than any book i own haha sorry about my grammar.

Yep, still the best book I have ever read about the New York punk scene, from its rise to its eventual fall at the hands of shitty bands like the Sex Pistols.
I was lucky enough to get a copy just after it was first published from a friend of mine that knew Legs McNeil and lived through the whole scene. Hes dead now.

If you liked that book, try to find a copy of this........ Excellent book that chronicles John Belushis life, the last half is a virtual hour by hour account of the last week of his life.
