ya like that title don't ya? i love hooters sauce but got tired of chicken wings so i came up with this recipe.
now i'm not sure if this recipe will be for anyone outside of the states due to the availability of the main ingredient.
you'll need........
2 jars of hooters sauce/i use mild or medium cause i'm a wuss but you can go hotter. i find hooters sauce at the local market.
1 large bottle of italian dressing
i can of chicken broth
1 whole chicken
rice
season the chicken. i use garlic powder...fresh black pepper....sage and a little poultry seasoning.
there are two ways to go about the next step.
i take the hooters sauce and with an electric mixer and a large bowl i mix the italian dressing and hooters sauce. i use about a quarter of the dressing per one whole jar of sauce.
take the mixture and rub liberally rub all over the chicken using every last drop. the second and easiest method is to rub the sauce only over the chicken.
after using either the dressing/sauce mixture or just sauce, pour/shake the italian dressing into a baking pan until the bottom is coated in a thin layer.
pour in one can of chicken broth.
if you opted not to mix the sauce and dressing make sure and pour/shake some of the dressing over the sauce covered chicken.
bake at 350 for about an hour and ten minutes are until done.
the butter in the sauce combined with the oil in the dressing will crisp the skin of the chicken beautifully.
once done remove chicken from pan and let rest
you'll need enough rice to soak up all the juices in the pan and since i am not good with exact measurements all i can say is make a lot of rice.
spoon the rice into the pan until it has soaked up the juices, then lightly pack the rice. take your second jar of hooters sauce and smooth over the top of the rice. place back in oven for 10mins.
carve chicken while you wait.
serve with your favorite veggies.
i suck at explaining recipes but i think you can get enough info to attempt it.
