It's been over two years since I have actually cooked for anyone personally. My kids have moved out so there is really no need to cook a gourmet meal. I can stand in front of 300 people and do my shiatt without a second thought. Easy peasy. Yet here I am entertaining my new lady tomorrow night and I am scared shitless. I'll prolly forget how to turn on the stove. Any ideas on how I can get through this without cutting off a finger or just plain F'in up? I'm nervous, and I never get nervous

I think you should relax and let your talents do their thing. You know you are good at what you do and the food will be great. Do you know what she likes?

Take her out, No Nervous Nelly I mean to a restaurant until you are confident that you won't have a catering catastrophe. That or excuse yourself before of ones nervousness, but by the sounds of it though, it will be self evident. You could get the best takeaway that you know of and explain why or hire a chef for the night (gastronomy gods forbid) that doubles as a Violinist ! ! ! It will be all right on the night though I promise............................. See you in Rant and Rave soon ;D

I think you should relax and let your talents do their thing. You know you are good at what you do and the food will be great. Do you know what she likes? She has a restricted diet. Nothing with soy, gluten free and can't eat Brassica oleracea (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage etc). Luckily I've catered to people with restricted diets for years, so it was easy to work around. Do I know what she likes? Apparently me. hehe. Cheers mon ami, nice hearing from you
