One local priest said that an iconic image of the Virgin Mary in his parish has helped dozens of families conceive in Albuquerque.
Inside Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church, Father Christopher Zugger said dozens of couples who were told they couldn’t conceive children did because of the Virgin Mary.
“I better believe in miracles. We see them every day,” Zugger said.
Zugger bought the 200-year-old iconic image of the Virgin Mary back in 1998.
“Since them, we’ve had all kinds of miracles with all kinds of couples,” Zugger said.
According to Zugger, it started with one woman in the church who’d had five miscarriages.
“She said, ‘Holy Mother of God, save this baby. I can’t lose another baby,’” Zugger said. “(She) put the icon on her stomach and she says, ‘I’m not leaving until the baby kicks me six times.’”
That baby is now a teenager.
“Every single couple that has come, there’s been at least one child,” Zugger said.
Others have claimed to see miracles before, like finding the face of Jesus in a rock or tortilla.
“That’s not a miracle. That’s like a holy crapshoot,” Zugger said.
The priest said the real miracles are in the faces that are living and breathing every day.
“The gift of a child, this is the great fight in the Bible,” Zugger said.
As for skeptics, Zugger said they don’t have to take his word for it because they can just talk to any of the couples who’ve been helped.

There is something simular on Rhodes Greece. It is well documented and many woman visit it from all over Greece.
The abandoned Tsambika Monastery stands on the top of the mountain Tsambika (300 m) , in the resort Kolymbia, on the island of Rhodes , in Greece . The white pilgrimage church of Our Lady is also a part of this complex. Several legends exist about when and why was the Tsambika Monastery founded. According to one of them, a childless married couple found an icon of Virgin Mary from the 11th century on the coast. They took the icon to the mountain Tsambika. Nine months later, the woman gave birth to a child. This story spread quickly, consequently the Tsambika Monastery and a church were built on the top of the mountain Tsambika. Even today, women are still coming to the church to pray for fertility.
