Strange light in the Bermuda Triangle

Many years ago, my uncle told me a sory about something strange that happened here. He was in the navy. And one night this strange super bright light came out of nowhere. And shined very brightly on the entire ship. Grown men cowered under things and shook in fear. They all felt it was some sort of UFO. Although they never saw a craft. Anyways, my uncle is honest. So we know this really happened. And I am certain this has to be documented somewhere since it happened to the military. Hmmm... Something I never thought to investigate. Why not now?

So how can this be explained? And could whatever caused this light be what causes folks to go missing?

I remember hearing about a strange natural phenominom that lights up the ocean but i cant remember to much about it i think it was on Wired Science or some thing , not to long ago some one captured it on film , i'll see if i can find it

Yeah Krysta there has been a few cases like that over the years. Here is one from 1974 involving the U.S. Coast Guard.

The witness was stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Spencer a 327 foot ship conducting Ocean Station duty out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The ship was decommissioned in 1974, so the sighting was most likely in the summer of 1973. The conditions were warm, seas calm, and sighting occurred during the night. The witness states, I remember someone saying, “Come on deck, there’s a UFO! The UFO had bright lights that changed color and was checking us out. The UFO would come down hovering above us. We could see portholes and rotated as it hovered as its lights changed color. Then it climb high up in a second becoming very small. Then it seemed to show off, as if it knew we were watching it. It would accelerate across the sky in a split second while doing sharp right angle turns.

There were 140 men aboard the Spencer, and a large number of my fellow crewmen witnessed the UFO. My friend had some state-of-the-art photo equipment who was photographing this UFO. We were on station in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with all running lights on helping air traffic as usual. Crew members were taking photos of this craft with telephoto lens. I remember I could not wait to see the photos after they were developed, but I never got to see them. The show lasted about an hour and messages of this sighting were sent to Washington, DC.

When we were relieved from Ocean Station Duty, we headed back to Governor’s Island, to Yankee Pier our homeport. As we were docking, I saw quite a few “Men in Black” waiting to board our ship. Usually after docking, we were granted liberty of usually 72 hours but no one was allowed to leave the ship. These “Men in Black interrogated us all one by one for hours. We signed an affidavit, stating we saw nothing and were warned that if we mention this to anyone, we would be gone. We were told not to go to any news media, and try to tell this story. If we did, we would be prosecuting by the government. My friend had all of his photo equipment, pictures, and developing equipment confiscated.

This could account for some strange luminous areas being seen but by no means does it account for all!
