I've seen Maiden 3 times, but not since the Somewhere In Time tour.
Yea - we're taking our kids now, last time, I was driving home from Charlotte, N.C. and my friend woke me up as I was driving down the medium of the highway.
No Wives! Just us Men and our boys - testosterone!!!!! (SILENCE DARRYL) .

"Raise hell" is all the advice I have, or at least "raise heck", if thats too much, raise a little "awww shucks". Actually I do have more advice, ear plugs, you feel fuckin silly wearing them, but I used to think my hearing was invincible until motorhead sent me half deaf last time I saw them. I will never laugh at another bloke wearing earplugs.

Loudest band in the world1969Led Zeppelin's "Heartbreaker" is said to have reached 130 dB observed by a team of participants at the American Speech–Language–Hearing Association.[4] Daniel Kreps of Rolling Stone argues that "Whole Lotta Love" established Led Zeppelin's reputation as one of the loudest bands of their time. 1976The Who were listed as the "record holder", at 126 dB, measured at a distance of 32 meters from the speakers at a concert at The Valley (home ground of Charlton Athletic F.C.) on 31 May 1976. 1980The Australian hard rock band AC/DC once had a trademark of performing painfully loud. During Back in Black tour, they reached 130 decibels at some gigs but since there were too many noise complaints, they turned the volume down later. 1984 and 1994
The heavy metal band Manowar is one claimant of the title of "loudest band in the world",[6] citing a measurement of 129.5 dB in 1994 in Hanover. However, Guinness Book of World Records listed Manowar as the record holder for the loudest musical performance for an earlier performance in 1984. Guinness does not recognize Manowar's later claim, because it no longer includes a category of loudest band, reportedly because it does not want to encourage hearing damage. Manowar achieved a SPL of 139 dB during the sound check (not the actual performance) at the Magic Circle Fest in 2008. 1997Metallica has styled itself the "loudest band in the world". However, after one concert on 11 November 1997, which the band dubbed the "Million Decibel March", the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that "neighbors who [had] feared the worst from the self-styled Loudest Band in the World complained more about the sound from the news choppers circling overhead". 2007British punk band Gallows allegedly broke Manowar's next to last record for loudest band in the world, claiming to have achieved 132.5 dB; however, this record was claimed in an isolated studio environment as opposed to live. 2009On July 15, 2009, at the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest in Ottawa, Canada, the band KISS achieved a SPL of 136 dB measured by City of Ottawa Bylaw officers at the sound tent during their live performance (not the sound check). After noise complaints from neighbors in the area, the band was forced to turn the volume down. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudest_band_in_the_world

Our boys Motörhead, 'Everything Louder Than Everyone Else', officially hit 132 decibels in 1985. Ya, but they've unofficially gone way higher. And if you've ever gone to a concert and experienced the ringing in your ears for days following the show, you'll know what 132db (and higher) feels like. There isn't a band out there that doesn't hit in the upper 130's nightly. So... nuff' said. motorheadster.blogspot.com/2009/07/loudest-band-in-world.html

Loudest band in the world My first concert was around 1975 or 76 - first time I ever smelled pot too. Cheap Trick was huge, of course to me at the time, if you weren't in Kiss you weren't in a band (except the Bee Gees ) The concert was Judas Priest opening up for Kiss. A friend and I went, and our Mom's took us, we were in 5th grade. I remember how I could not believe a concert could be so loud. VIRGIN EARS. Then the last time I saw Iron Maiden in Charlotte, I got right next to the sound system, it was literally moving my hair. Shit I can't wait to see those guys again, Dave, Adrian, Steve, Nicko and Bruce SMOKE!!! Oh yea - and there's that Gers guy.
