um yea thats a little too much i think their being called out because they fucked up and lied repeatedly to the us government and the press .... now if some one is exploiting this to use as an opportunity hey that buisness but i dont think theres a conspiracy here at least not with a buy out.

doubt it was planned. now is all the rhetoric and vilification of bp like the dog and pony show at the congressional hearings all to help another company to buy bp? I would not doubt it at all. where ever there is a buck to be made, a political interest to be met or an agenda to be worked anything is possible to a point.
bp and our government both share the blame in this. the only difference.........america's spin machine is far better than bp's.

Keep your eyes on Apache corp.
Wait to see who they will merge with (or be bought out by). Their recent purchase seems a bit too big for them to handle.
