i dont understand ... rocket engines operate at high pressure .. lots of fire there .....

Yeah, but they are not under high preasure, they operate at atmospheric preasure, the preasure at that deapth is what, 20 atmospheres?

I imagine you would need more power to push the fuel out of your engine when you fly through a thicker atmosphere.

guys, I'm pretty sure its just the pipe fitting thats over the oil leak. you'll notice the 2 prongs pointed downwards, well there are 4 altogether. They are at the base of the pipe thats trying to collect the leaking oil. Im pretty sure the pipe is white or lighter in color but the camera hue gives it a yellowish tint. So as the oil escapes we get fleeting glimpses of the pipe itself. The billowing oil gives it that flaming effect.
Just the pipe guys... imo
