I'm frightened, it scares me everytime they say something "coulda happened".
The world "coulda" ended yesturday, but it didnt so fuck it, lets ignore it and move on, being scared is what they want us to be, the terrorists, the government, big business, the whole lot, theres money to be made from frightened people.

a bomb that started to detonate but fizzled out? not buying it. seriously those who make these types of bombs do not screw up a detonation. outside of a nuclear weapon the detonation part is easy.
here is the real problem i am having. when an amateur makes a bomb they usually use gasoline. most of the time there is no real explosion just a fireball that engulfs the vehicle. this bomb had had gas and household products and fertilizer. you do not mix those three together for a successful bomb. if you wanted to assemble a scary ass looking bomb that the general public will piss themselves over then this is what you build.
i'm sure they will catch some lone nut that they can link to militias and other right wing religious organizations.

i'm sure they will catch some lone nut that they can link to militias and other right wing religious organizations. The person will be an 'active' member of the tea bag movement. Thats my guess. The two events are just wayyyy to similar. Only one reason for this. Propeganda. As you say. The easiest part of a bomb is making it go off.

clinton got a boost every time we had a domestic act of terrorism. from the olympic bombing to the oklahoma bombing. from ruby ridge to waco. from the abortionist bomber to the unibomber. all these were linked to extremist groups.
