Many doctors argue over the acid & alkaline debate, probably because it’s not taught in mainstream medicine. Then there are a lot of quacks that will swear it is the cause of everything that goes wrong with the body. Its swings and roundabouts. Each having a valid point. Many quacks trying to sell you something!!! There is no need to buy anything, just look at your own diet.
An acidic body is when the body is out of balance and the pH level is low due to an accumulation of waste matter in the system. The causes of it being too acidic is mainly due to processed foods, sugar, refined starch, dairy and meat. The result of eating processed foods is that they have a very acidic action on the body and literally clog up the system resulting in long term conditions.
Our bodies do have a natural mechanism to eliminate acids, as it can handle the natural acids created by the body which are created in energy production and the process of rebuilding cells, but the extra acidity created by a poor diet has the body systems overwhelmed with a backlog of acids this becomes too much this is when physical illness occurs.
You can tell if your body is acidic by a litmus ph test, this is best done two hours after eating. But do a few tests at different times of the day to get a truer reading as the body’s ph does fluctuate.
Using your diet to correct the balance means eating three servings of alkalizing foods for every one serving of acid food. It doesn’t mean you have to ‘do without’ your favourite foods, but it does mean you have to work at balancing out your diet. It’s best to have a 75% alkaline and 25% acid rather than ALL alkaline diet.
I would just like to add, that NO amounts of supplements will make any difference to the body for any condition your trying to treat if you body is to ‘acidic’.
