the uk ones are nothing like the one in wes's vid. they seem similar but are far from it. the one in the vid has angled blades producing remarkable lift speed and momentum. the uk copter is made for hovering.........the copter in the vid is not which is why when it stops it tends to sink.
i would not be surprised at all to see a full scale military model of the one in the vid come in to being in the next 20 years. it could carrying troops and supplies faster than any helicopter we have today. it could virtually drop out of the sky with no warning taking the enemy by surprise. then lift off faster than the enemy could bring weapons to bear on it.
