WHEN you claim to have film of a buffalo being beamed up into a UFO, then you can expect to attract plenty of attention.
North Hampshire pensioner Derek Bridges has this week found himself in the local and national spotlight after word spread of his weird out-of-this-world experience.
The 69-year-old retired airport worker told The Gazette he witnessed the strange sighting from his window at The Green, in Overton, in late September.
His video shows two bright lights hovering over Laverstoke Park Farm in Overton, where water buffalo are kept.
The footage has been passed to UFO organisations across the world and is being described as “the Holy Grail” for UFO enthusiasts.
Mr Bridges, who has studied UFO activity in the borough for more than 15 years, said: “I saw something dark red and glowing and I waited about 20 minutes and then a big bright light appeared. It was so bright that it could blind you.
“I got my camera and filmed it and then it disappeared. I didn’t know what it was at the time.”
It was only after the incident that Mr Bridges realised an animal could be seen in the footage.
He said: “I took it to the British Earth and Aerial Mysteries Society (BEAMS) and we put it on a bigger picture and we saw a beam coming from the light.
“It’s the only one that has ever been filmed in the world and I filmed it. I can’t say that I’m disappointed.”
Kenneth Parsons, chairman of BEAMS, said he was planning to film at the farm next week to prove the sighting was the real thing.
He added: “We are going to prove that it wasn’t a street lamp because there are only fields over there. I’m very impressed with it. To us it’s like finding the Holy Grail.
“In the USA, there have been cows lifted towards the sky. What they (extra-terrestrials) do is take the cattle and drain its blood. They remove parts of the body and dump it back again. I have never seen anything like this before.”
Sara Whittall, from Laverstoke Park Farm, owned by former Formula One Champion Jody Sheckter, said none of their buffalo had gone missing.
She added: “They have all been accounted for. We are well-known locally and nationally but now we have gone into a different galaxy where the aliens are coming to get our buffalo burgers.”
A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Defence said it would not be investigating the incident.
She added: “The MoD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity.”
Mr Bridges said Overton is a “hot spot” for UFO activity. He added: “I see a lot of things out here. I’ve got an eye for it. It’s fantastic looking at something that could be from somewhere else. I’m quite drawn to it.
“I’m aware that a lot of people are sceptical and I don’t blame them. People have the right to think what they like, but seeing is believing.”

2 DEAD COWS FOUND IN FIELD BELOW WHERE THIS LIGHT WAS SEEN, AS REPORTED BY FARMS'S PA!
Ok, it's not the clearest..it's dark and a bit shakey, but as another UK researcher Malcom Robinson described this...it's something of historical importance which has been captured here.
The film was shot at night above Overton, Basingstoke, Hampshire, United Kingdom 28/09/09.
From his lounge window, witness Derek Bridges saw a strange lightform take-off from a nearby farm field when he rushed to grab his handicam in the bedroom and began filming the episode as soon as he could from his window. Apart from the little crescent of houses that you can see at the beginning of the film, and some residential roads to the left of where he lives, Overton is very rural and is comprised of a huge farming complex which contains many field animals including bison, cows, horses and sheep.
What caught Derek's attention is that usually this area is pitch black dark and these lights were most unsual indeed.
At first, he wasn't sure exactly what he was zooming-in on, but realised after a while that this was a glowing, hovering object of some sort with what appeared to be a farm animal being hauled upwards into the lightform, before it vanished from sight.
Look closely and you can even see the poor creature wriggling!
There was no noise or flashing lights coming from the aerial object, yet a strange 'trilling' sound is audible on the resulting video, similar to that which is sometimes heard inside crop circles, or just before one is is formed...click here for further info about this phenomenon...

The farmland over which this was filmed contains water buffalo, one of the largest herds in the UK.
There are no streetlamps or pylons in or near these fields...usually the scene at night there is one of total darknesss.
The witness is nearly 70 years old, doesn't own a pc and knows nothing about them,...neither does he WANT to know anything about them! Nor is this Chinese lanterns!
Take a look at a similar case report from Argentina..still photo only with this one..

Here is a bit more in fo for you regarding animal abduction film case.
BEAMS needed a bit more information about the farmer above whose land the object was filmed, so we began researching.
It turns out that the network of fields are owned by former F1 racing driver Jody Scheckter.
He runs an organic farm there called Laverstoke Park, on which are kept the largest herd of water buffalo in the UK, amongst many other animals.
We contacted the farm today, (20/10/09), to find out if any of their stock was missing, firstly at 11.50am, when they said that they would get back to us...but after waiting an hour and no call from them, we persisted and phoned them back again, asking to speak to Mr Sheckter's PA, and we were successful.
We explained the situation, saying that "this might sound a bit strange but we have in our possession recent footage taken by a witness in Overton of an unidentified aerial object hovering above Mr Scheckter's farmland, apparently, either floating an animal up to the object, or lowering it down" etc, etc, (fully expecting to hear a loud burst of laughter at the other end), but no, on the contrary, we found the PA to be quite helpful and understanding...much to our amazement!
He didn't sound that surprised at all about the mutilation scenario, as we explained that not only have farm animals been reported elsewhere in the world being taken up, but that they are often found deposited on the ground as well, having obviously been dropped fom a great height.
Then we were informed by him that they have had 2 recent cow deaths in the field on their farm, but the PA could not be more specific regarding dates and any missing animals: This would require their stockman to be contacted and that they conduct a stock count once a month.
Extract from earthfile.com and Linda Moulton Howe: "The next day at twilight on September 29th, Derek stood at his bedroom window again looking out at the field. To his amazement, three or four helicopters showed up flying around as if searching.
I asked Ken Parsons if he would inquire with Laverstoke Farm about missing animals. We learned that in the week of September 28th, two cows were found dead, cause unknown.
