I think the point that has to be raised here is, why, back in the stoneage times, were they able to get such great pictures. Yet nowdays, when everyman and most dogs have 10 megapixel digital cameras do we only get grainy unfocused crap.
I suppose the answer could well be, they are aware of this and are a lot more careful than they used to be.
