Massive sinkhole gobbles up building in FloridaAn massive sinkhole has opened up in a town in Florida and has gobbled up a garbage bin, a tree, the back wall of the building and stacks of supplies. The giant chasm in Leesburg opened up last month after heavy downpour, taking a beauty store with it. The roof of Main Street Hair and Beauty Supply is now underground. People living nearby the business say the sinkhole has continued to grow even larger and they are worried about their homes. However, city officials say the hole isn't growing, and that things are just moving as it settles. A neighbour, who heard the earth rip open, said, "It woke me up. I heard a crack, a boom. I thought it was a wreck, like someone hit a transformer or something." Florida has seen over 3000 sinkholes over the past six decades. The phenomenon has also been reported from other parts of the world. One woman in Guatemala found a giant sinkhole under her bed inside her house just earlier this week. au.news.yahoo.com/queensland/a/-/odd/9902455/massive-sinkhole-eats-building-in-florida/

These Sinkholes seem to be becoming more widespread over time and even more random in nature.
I would love to know what the geeks in the Cern facility know about this.
