What turned out to be a six man tournament has ended up as many more. Very confusing. Jermain Taylor is gone, career probably over. Allan Green replaced him. Andre Direll was knocked senseless by Abraham (legal btw) and replaced by who knows who. Glen Johnson was invited and knocked out Allen Green.
Anyone invite Bute? A four man tournament between Bute, Abraham, Kessel and Ward is all that's needed. I'd take Bute over Abraham and Kessel any day. Ward's a whole different story

I will say this.........Dirrell acted like such a pussy after the blow he deserved to be ran out the tournament. Abraham should have kicked out of the tournament. It wasn't an accidental hit he was so frustrated from getting his ass kicked he decided to fight dirty. Even before the disqualification blow he was hitting behind the head and wrestling.

Had Abraham had a history of this, sure, disqualify him. But he doesn't. Yes he was dirty, yes he was getting his ass kicked, but he was also coming on at the end. But he is a beast. He ended Jermaines career...legit. Dirrell may never be the same...... not so legit. I just want to know why Bute is not in there? Have you guys followed him? He's dynamite

Bute should absolutely be in the tournament. I think we all would have gladly given him Green's spot after two terrible performances that belonged on espn not on one of the cable giants.

Yeah for a super sixer, Green sure dropped the ball.
I wish they had this type of tourney back with Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Davey Moore and Duran. Man that would have been exciting. Throw in a Donald Curry, Milton McCrory, Mike McCallum even Aaron Pryor(even though he was lighter) and it would have taken boxing to a higher plane. It's a great format. No pussyfooting around. Just fight the best in the division. Very rare in these days of the alphabet champions

Ya man, those two fights with Arguello were classics. During pre-fight intros when he stood there with his glove aimed at his opponent, brought goosebumps to me. You knew he was always going to bring it. Here's a little known gem.

My god he stalked the hit man the entire fight. I didn't even know who Pryor was until I saw the documentary HBO did on him and Arguello. Gotta love a guy who you had better not knock down unless you want to get your ass kicked quickly.
