The Mysterious Death of Colonel Jim Sabow
On January 22, 1991 Colonel Jim Sabow was found the victim of suicide in his home backyard on the Marine Corps Air Station, in El Toro, California. He was an honorable man who worked in the military for over 28 years. The first autopsy declared that it was a suicide, but later investigations show evidence that it may in fact not have been a suicide but a murder.
Prior to his suicide/murder Colonel Sabow was waiting to present his evidence in a court martial that the government through the use of military facilities and equipment was shipping drugs.
On January 22, 1991 at 9:20 a.m. his body was discovered with a shotgun wound to the head. Again his death was first declared a suicide, but later evidence would show otherwise.
Among the evidence that proves that his death was not a suicide includes a rear head contusion (bruise) that extends down the back of the neck, this would mean that he would have had to hit himself in the back of the head prior to suicide or it could mean a struggle. Also there were no finger prints on the shotgun, how could he have performed the suicide without leaving fingerprints? There is also evidence that suggests that the shotgun was jammed into his mouth in such a way as to prevent a suicide because he would have been gagging.
In a related story John Patrick Bedell, the Pentagon shooter, was said to have been angry about the murder of Jim Sabow.
