Good point there, anything can be quoted in/out of context to support a theory, in this case a bizarre way to consider 4 days out of 30 to be a trend??

Now see, I dont subscribe to all this "Crazy weather" stuff. I dont think the weather is any different than its always been, so we have a cold snap once in a while, we have had them before, will have them again.
People here get all bent out of shape when it hits 40oC for a day or two, so what, we always used to get that, always will.
I believe the only difference now is people are more focused on the weather because of all the "global warming" bullshit.

Got to say that we in the UK have always been focussed on the weather, well you would be when it gets beamed into your house for many minutes out of a day, especially with detailed weather descriptions, but also telling me what is happening abroad also.
Had a red sky out there tonight, now is that a shepherds delight or a sailors?

the american version is......
red sky at night sailors delight
red sky in the morn sailors be warned.
all the credible evidence points to global warming starting out as a flawed theory. al gore then entered politics with the sole purpose of convincing everyone of his mentor's beliefs. over the course of his career he slowly worked his way up through the government securing solid funding for the research. for decades he has toured colleges and convinced the scientists of the future to go into the global warming field where he promised they would be funded for their entire careers. all research no matter how crazy would be backed by the government.
this created an atmosphere of disdain for anyone who sought to either disprove or just do actual field work in a neutral manner. gore then set his sights on corporate america where he promised many concession to those willing to follow the global warming trend and threatened those who wouldn't with sanctions and government scrutiny.
in all fairness al gore honestly believes or at least believed at one time in global warming. today we are seeing the results of gore's many years of lobbying. we have faulty data all the way around. global warming became a lazy science with far too much money at its disposal and no oversight. as long as you could tweak some numbers or link any weather event to global warming you need not set foot in a lab or in the field to secure your share of the billion dollar pie. which is why global warming has more papers published than any other research.
there are many reason why our weather is changing. most are based on natural cycles that we have struggled to understand because there was no research money available.
somewhere along the way the save the earth and global warming movements merged to give us the green movement.

Strangly enough i am a big " save the earth" kinda guy, we are stipping away the planets flora and fauna at an alarming rate, and I feel all this has been lost in the " carbon" debate.
Look at Paraguay, ask them if they like all this " green fuels" shit, 99% of thier natural forests have been stripped to make way for miles and miles of soya crops to make bio fuels, it makes a joke out of the whole " green" movement.
