How can they claim the weight of the stone, if they have to estimate the thickness?
I might only be 24" thick. You know, thick enough to suppory its weight when you pass lifting beams through the slots carved into it.
But big enough to support the weight put upon it. Lintel?

the structures on top of these stones are not original construction .... they were added later ... built on the ruins of more ancient structures to which the colossal stones belong to

the structures on top of these stones are not original construction .... they were added later ... built on the ruins of more ancient structures to which the colossal stones belong to thats the enigma wiggly there are 3 stages of construction,the top stage was built by the romans,they built there temple on top of the greek temple but the biggest enigma is the base and platform they were built by an unknown and then abandoned,who built the bottom megalithic platform nobody knows but the technology to move,transport and erect those megalithic blocks today would be a massive project that may not even be feasable?
