was gonna post that vid myself, it just shows not all are at the top of their game all the time. Both fighters i mentioned went through the whole bare knuckle & gypsy fights scene for years and earnt well from it. that just doesnt happen unless you're someone special. I agree recent fighting taking mixed martial arts etc the fighting today is more technical but to say they wouldnt last 10seconds is like asking weather mayweather in his prime could beat sugar ray robinson in his! hypothetical

Yes, in this type of fighting, any one from any time could have held their own. Organised sports have evolved where many from the past could not hang with the ones of today, they have progessed. Better equipment, better training, skills, and certainly more knowledge. But the backstreet, bareknuckle, kick the shit out of each other, then go for a pint type like this, just won't

street fighting and professional mma are two very separate things. now that kimbo has been trained properly what did he do? he had houston alexander one of the meanest mma fighters in the world running like a little girl in kimbo's first ufc fight.
i'm not being disrespectful.....its just in america where many of the guys grow up there is no room for defeat. their street cred and reps determine just how hard their lives will or won't be. its violent here and i mean ungodly violent. there is no going to have a beer afterwards. its either you walk away with the glory or get left bleeding in the streets where every little punk around wants to stomp your head in while you are still on the ground.

Hey man I don't disagree with that and have seen enough on youtube and such to see your point thoroughly. But when these bad asses get into the ring with a skilled all rounded fighter, they are done for. Different times Drex. Back in the day, they would fight and go for a beer after. Well not all of course, but in a "gentlemans" fight, for sure. In my opinion, the loss that Kimbo had against Seth was a fluke. Yeah he has trained and got better all around, still has a long way to go, but showed promise against Houston. I enjoy watching him fight. He is a fucking animal |

I dunno man, you could hit the Guvoner with a frickin meat cleaver and he would still keep coming...in fact I think someone did at some stage.
