I feel I may need to clarify my stance regarding Ajna & the pineal gland. The above quote is meant to illustrate the difference between Ajna and pineal - showing, in effect, that the two are not related.
Prana can be linked to the physical but is not physical in and of itself - it is subtle - as metaphysics is to physics. Those words are inadequate as (in reality) prefixes such as meta when affixed to physics or super when affixed to natural - are meaningless. Except perhaps for underlining the fact that we do not yet (collectively) understand that part of the physical or the natural as it exists within the 'Universe'...
Ergo - I do not believe that the pineal gland is the third eye in the sense of it being Ajna.
