“In the age of technology there is constant access to vast amounts of information. The basket overflows; people get overwhelmed; the eye of the storm is not so much what goes on in the world, it is the confusion of how to think, feel, digest, and react to what goes on.” ― Criss Jami, Venus in Arms

Up to 90 percent’ of UK petrol pumps dry amid panic buying. One reason this happened was MSM pumping out fear porn! But there could be other underling reasons that im not ruling out! How about the roll out of E10 fuel,so maybe the old 97 ron fuel has to be used asap, so a great way to get it used would be to make out there's a driver shortage, or how about them trying to get Electric vehicles being the must have? All i know for sure is all places near me are out of fuel

It may well be those things, brillbilly (sorry to hear of the shortage in your area)
E10 effectively raises the fuel bill (ergo, revenue) due to it being less efficient than E5 in that it delivers less miles per gallon.
Maybe it's a case of the Tories doing what they appear to do best - giving with one hand and taking away with the other... Furthermore, according to the RAC : "Those with no option but to continue using E5 will have to fork out quite a lot of extra money as super grade unleaded is currently 136p a litre which is over 13p more expensive than regular petrol"... (price correct as of 26th Feb 2021) "The total retail price paid at the pump includes a significant amount of tax – 57.95p per litre in fuel duty and 20% VAT. But the total proportion of tax we pay to the Treasury varies depending on the pump price. For instance, with fuel at 120p a litre at the pumps, 65% of the cost is tax. But at £1 a litre it rises to 75%, meaning 75p in every litre sold goes to for the Treasury. Fuel duty raises more than £26bn a year, which together with VAT charged on fuel, vehicle tax and ‘showroom’ tax totals, means motorists contribute more than £40bn a year to the Government’s coffers."

Quote : You won't find anywhere as peaceful as the English countryside. Calling England the 'green and pleasant land' is an understatement. Boasting idyllic rolling hills as far as the eye can see, you're guaranteed to fall in love with the lush green landscape. ... What makes England so special are the people who live here.
