Denis Delestrac made his debut in non-fiction filmmaking in 2001 and signed a number of hits including IMAX blockbuster "Mystery of the Nile" and "Pax Americana and the Weaponization of Space", his first feature documentary. His latest feature documentary, "Sand Wars" is an epic eco-thriller that takes the audience around the globe to unveil a new gold rush and a disturbing fact: we are running out of sand!
In his talk he explains us where sand comes from and where it ends up. Our perception is that the ressource sand will always be available for us but thanks to his investigations we realize that this is not true and that sooner or later we will be running out of sand - and consequently won´t have beaches anymore.

Just watched the first vid Rare (but will watch all). The sand one, I have to say that was Educational. Sand is like, Oil, and Water. And Oil  Nice Sand on the Moon.  |

I'm sure Brill put this up in 2016 but 45 mins of searching using every key word available to no avail ! It was important enough to keep off youtube to recoup costs no doubt, and I have checked periodically over the years on the net as I'm a cheapskate  I'm glad there is no oil on the moon (or is there) because some twat would try and build a 238,000 mile pipe line  Mentioning no names.......Sandy Moon would have her pussy grabbed |

Although this is a very interesting topic (I watched a couple of the vids) need I remind you guys about the makeup of the mass of the earth?

I would also suppose that the erosion of the beaches is a normal tidal effect, whereas the bottom of the oceans all over the world are sand.
This sand will get lifted and redeposited across the world from storms and other current forces.
The fact some are noticing this may show us that people aren't quite as "blind" as we have been led to believe.
