Just jumping in here. I have a Masters in Theory and composition. This entire concept of the "400" series of tonality is both bogus and a fraud. It may seem nice, but what they are really referring to is an overtone series based on a much lower frequency. I wrote three research papers on ancient tonality, where it came from, the structure, usage, yada yada yada. The actual ancient tonality which WAY precedes 440 drops down into the teens or even lower. Plato wrote an entire dialogue which we refer to at this time paraphrased, "I care not who writes the laws, let me write the music." There was a time in anciwnt Greece where musicians could make an entire arena cry, laugh, riot, hate, depress. Based off a tonality which has been either lost or hidden from us. I have a rather certain pin point of the scalar pitches and tonalites, and in order to move entire audiences to this kind of power control requires ancient knowledge which the modern industry is jamming down your throat hip hop, rap, and an entire loss of the original ancient record. For a reason, geez. There is a documented trace record of the changes over time, I found them, and the entire argument against 440 has been a moot point for over 150 years. Think about it. Divide 440 by half. Divide that answer by half. NOW look at that number ---- ring any bells? Cheers buddies and buddettes

I have written and recorded most of my latest songs in 432hz. The tonality of wood in my guitars seem more rich plus my fingers and vocal cords like it a lot better. I'll just say I think that it's a preference and I've never heard anyone ask me what frequency I was playing in, except an accompanying musician. Most people couldn't pick it out and wouldn't know what the hell you were talking about anyway.
PSA: If you tune down too much, your strings sound like wet noodles in the wind.
Too high and them fuckers break! True story!
