It's bringing excitement back to boxing, which is much needed IMO because of the current juggernaut that is the UFC, as the competition. Do you remember CBS, NBC, and ABC showing title fights on network T.V. back in the 80's. Mancini vs Arguello, Holyfield vs Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Hagler vs Hamsho. They need to get back to that in order for all of us who can't afford PPV's to get a feel for the fighters and bring it back into the mainstream. ESPN for you in the States, TSN for us up here. Same thing basically, but until someone gets these fighters names out there, no one will give a shit. Again good call. Interesting thinking how he would do against Abraham if they get matched.

sure do slith. very first tyson fight i saw was on one of the big three networks on a saturday afternoon. it was probably in 87 right before tyson hit the big time.
well abraham is a different beast than kessler. ward can't be that reckless with abrahams. he keeps his hands that low with him and he is leaving the ring in a stretcher.

Or a coffin. Kessler has never fought as flat as that. Ever. Even against Calzaghe he looked better than that. I was disappointed in his performance. It was a style mismatch. Ward had the puzzle solved long before he hit the ring and Kessler couldn't adapt. But yeah if Ward gets nailed with one of those shots by Abraham, that took out Taylor, call the funeral home.

ward actually had him stunned at times but his lack of power prevented him from putting the fight away. i really think this lack of power is gonna hurt him at some point before its over.

You remember Howard Davis jr? Won Olympic gold in Montreal. Fantastic boxer, but had no punch. He never won a world title in the pros because of this. Almost, but was cold cocked by Edwin Rosario (I think it was him) in the 15th round in his first title shot. Although he had a huge lead going into the last round. Now Ward has done something he never did. He has won a world title. But the same scenario. If he doesn't learn to sit down on his punches and put people away when he hurts them, it may come back to haunt him. Still like my man Abraham in this.

don't really remember davis slith but that just proves your point even more.
you nailed the fact he needs to root those feet and get those legs and hips involved if he wants to have fight changing punches.

If he can do it, he will win this thing. I was really impressed by him
