I think I gave him 4999. I also think. It doesn't really matter that much.
I don't want to defend his pettyness. But I had a think. A proper Sherlock think. I could deduce it if I wanted. But, I think, he's a sick man who is bored sensless and has too much time on his hands.
I could be totally wrong.
But really. Does it matter? An attention seeker with 5000 posts. It's not hard nowadays.
Captian Cowboy (he says in a friendly way), mentioned to me that Dtv is not quite like what it used to be like. I agree. I have nowhere near the experience as many. But, even in my short time, I have seen it degrade.
Dunno what I'm really trying to say. But, I know people here are smarter than many people I've met in real life, and school ground gossip belongs in a school ground.

Concrete, have to agree with you... he is bored and does need some sort of life, he is also sick in the head. I have said nothing here that I wouldn't/haven't said to him personally, I have nothing to hide. Don't be thinking that 'he' doesn't slag anyone off... he does it at every opportunity... friends with people one min, making derogatory comments about them the next.
He is right about DTV not being the same, I have been there from more or less day one, and this is something a lot of us do agree on. BUT its the constant 'snipping' by people like himself that's pulling it down. Healthy debate is just that, healthy, making derogatory comments at every opportunity is sick! Should he be pitied? NO... tried that it didn't work. He knows exactly what he is doing, he is what you call a 'player'. No it doesn't matter about the post counts, no one could care less. Its quality not quantity.
I'm sorry you feel like people are being like children in a playground gossiping, like I say there is nothing I would say here that I wouldn't say face to face with anyone.

I've always tried to assess who someone is. I scrutinize facial expressions, am very very good at picking up different emotions through voice level, mannerisms, and can even pick these things up through text after awhile.
Here's my assessment on Jones.
Jones wasn't a popular kid, I wouldnt go so far to say he was a loser, but he definitely wasn't the kid everyone wanted to be around. The importanant thing to keep in mind here is that he was aware of it, and it has stayed with him up until today. He went through his early life most often being overlooked. Example scenarios would be selection for sporting competitions, something simple like partnering up on a project in class in school, even women. It was always a struggle to get noticed and "chosen" and when he did, he felt awesome. He was a pushover, never beat anybody up, and most likely never spoke out. Even though he might have formed his own opinions, Jones was too afraid to voice them. His confidence was lacking. His self-esteem, however, never got the best of him, which is why he's accomplished feats like marathons etc. As he grew into an adult these issues faded but never went away. He was always sure of himself but always sensitive to recognition, attention.
Now, DTV is almost like Jones' 2nd try at being the popular kid he never was. He gets noticed, he gets attention, he can form his own opinions and can now speak out. He even has an indicator by which to measure his "cool factor" which of course is the number of posts he's attained. Reaching 5000 was a fantastic feat for Jones, especially because he got there first. Most others wouldnt think its that big a deal. But Jones finally has a place where he fits in and can obtain respect by being a tenured member. Its important to him.
He's not malicious unless pressed into a corner. He's more harmless than anything. Just suffering from little childhood scars hoping to erase them altogether at some point.
Anyways, what the fuck do I know...Just how he comes off to me...

i hate to point this out but i'd feel worse if i didn't.
concrete, you've basically made some flimsy excuses for jones's childishness while at the same time insinuating that there is schoolyard gossip going on here. see the conundrum?
you also agree with him on the fact the site isn't what it used to be......yet do not acknowledge that jones and his pettiness are a large part of that problem.
jones is now claiming to have tried to extend an olive branch and i've slapped it away...........bullshit. in fact he is using the same words i used when i tried to play nice with him only to have him throw it in my face several times.
i've noticed you softening towards him at dtv concrete as though you feel he is being unfairly singled out.....and as utterly ridiculous as that is to think that way i've not said a word since that is your prerogative.
so let me reiterate strongly.........no one is asking you to jump on the i hate jones bandwagon. as much as i hate to say this because we all really like you and respect you if you are going to let someone like jones who will turn on you the minute you disagree even slightly with him influence your discomfort here then perhaps this site is not for you.
i hope you can understand that i can't allow people like theshee who has been threatened by the prick to reveal her identity across many forums be made to feel childish for her well earned dislike for him.
ball is in your court and it is my most sincere hope that we can resolve this without the ultimate solution.

Thx Drex,
Yea yur right, I suppose Jones can go over the harmless mark. And temper tantrums for sure! But whats fun about Jones is you can so toy with him. One or two line rebuttals to his booklike responses defeat him. He needs the lengthy tantrum to bring attention to himself but when you cyphen it off quickly, Im sure it drives him MAD...lol toy with him and he'll be as harmless as a 6 year old.
