Missing 411 - BIZARRE Disappearances and Missing Shoes!
Every year hundreds of people go missing in the wilds of North America. David Paulides, investigative journalist and ex detective has spent years investigating the circumstances under which these people go missing. These people however, don’t go missing under circumstances you might expect often they go missing without a trace, right under the nose of their friends and family. Sniffer dogs are unable to pick up a scent and are often found whimpering and walking around in circles. Park rangers and other authorities involved are reluctant to speak up, almost as if they are aware something bizarre is happening, but don’t want to cause a panic. Strange weather patterns sometimes erupt right after someone goes missing, almost as if nature itself doesn’t want the missing to be found. The victims that’re found dead are often in a place that has been searched thoroughly by the Search and Rescue teams, other times they’re found in places of extreme elevation without an explanation as to how they got there. Experienced hunters that understand the woods and their surroundings better than most go missing, right under the nose of their companions. And, if that’s not strange enough, items of clothing are often missing, or found inside out and the shoes also go missing. To make matters even more strange, the feet or socks of the victim are clean, leaving experts and authorities baffled.

Roma launch missing child Twitter campaignAmadou Diawara is the latest player to sign for Roma, and he is pictured beside a missing US child, Jaylene Jimenezwww.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48823137Roma have partnered with missing child charities the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Telefono Azzurro for a 'milk carton' style social media campaign.
Each time Roma complete a signing, they will include photos of missing children in their their announcement posts.
Children from both Italy and the USA will feature in the images.
The appeal was launched on Sunday with midfielder Leonardo Spinazzola's transfer to the Serie A side.
The summer initiative is inspired by rock band Soul Asylum's music video for their 1992 song Runaway Train, which highlighted the faces and names of missing children, similar to those printed on millions of milk cartons in the USA during the 1980s and 90s.
"We want to use the viral nature of social media transfer announcements to help raise awareness for missing children," said Paul Rogers, head of strategy at Roma.
"We have a massive social media following and our announcements generate incredible reach and awareness, all over the world, so we thought that at the exact moment when the world's attention is on the club's announcement."
The club plans to release two videos per player signing, one featuring Italian children and one featuring American teenagers.
Roma are also in talks with a British charity about providing information on more missing children across Europe.
NCMEC, founded in 1984, helps to deter child exploitation and child abductions in the US while Telefono Azzurro, which was formed in 1987, operates around the clock to support abused and at-risk children.

Fifth missing child found via Roma social media campaignwww.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49768518Roma's missing children social media campaign has helped find a second girl from London.
It means the Italian club has helped find five children since partnering with UK charity Missing People in July.
The charity has provided Roma with 20 different cases to feature in the campaign, which has been promoted when announcing transfer signings.
Two Kenyan children were found when Roma signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Chris Smalling.
Previously, a girl from London and a boy from Belgium were found after the arrivals of Mert Cetin and Davide Zappacosta.
Missing People chief executive Jo Youle said it was "fantastic news".
"We are really thankful to our friends at AS Roma for sharing their transfer videos featuring the missing children on social media," she added.
"With the help of their millions of fans, it has raised awareness of missing children and young people to a wide audience."
The 16-year-old from London, who can no longer be identified for legal reasons, went missing on 12 July and appeared in more Roma announcement videos than any other child this summer.
After first being featured in the video to announce the Zappacosta signing, the teenager was then included again by Roma in the announcement videos for the arrivals of Smalling, from Manchester United, and Mkhitaryan, from Arsenal, to increase awareness of her disappearance in England.
After the close of the transfer window, a new video highlighting all of the English missing children featured in the campaign was published - with the 16-year-old shown first.
The campaign was inspired by rock band Soul Asylum's video for their 1992 song Runaway Train, which highlighted the faces and names of missing children, and similar to those printed on millions of milk cartons in the USA during the 1980s and '90s.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49892443AS Roma: Why did Italian club decide to announce signings alongside missing children? Roma have featured 109 missing person cases in 72 different videos across 12 different countries Peter Boxell's son has been missing for 31 years. At times, he says, it has been a "living nightmare". Attempts to find Lee - a Sutton United fan who went missing aged 15 - have involved thousands of police hours, a year-long dig in a church graveyard and four Crimewatch appeals. Boxell also started the Missing People choir, which reached the Britain's Got Talent final in 2017. During last summer's transfer window, however, Boxell received further help from an unexpected source. Italian club Roma are considered trailblazers when it comes to their social media campaigns, having previously featured everything from black screens to the history of the Earth when announcing new player signings. This summer, they went for a more poignant approach by featuring missing children videos alongside their transfer announcements, with several featuring Lee. Some fans initially questioned why the club would combine the joy of a new signing with the sadness felt for a missing person, but, remarkably, five children highlighted in their videos were found. Unfortunately, Lee was not one of those discovered. After years of searching, Boxell now accepts his son may have passed away. But when Lee's case was featured on the club's social media channels, dozens of Roma fans made contact to offer Peter support and wish him well in his search. He says the response was like a "comfort blanket". "It's difficult to describe, but it makes us feel like we are not alone and not the only ones suffering," Boxell adds. "It gives me hope that, if not my son, somebody elsewhere will be recognised from an appeal and reunited with their families." link to read more
