The Antonio Gerasi Construction Corp. (A.G.C. Corp.) had been contracted last October by the university. Their job, to tunnel underground and install new wiring for the campus’ new computer networking system. While digging near the Elmer Holmes Bobst Library, the construction workers uncovered what looked to be a rotting wooden crate. The crate laid dormant, five feet under the surface. It's estimated, it had been untouched for over 200 years Inside the crate, a burlap bag containing dozens of old wooden blocks (as described by A.G.C. Corp. employee Martin Sarkiero). These boxes were later identified by historians as "puzzle boxes" (Lament Configurations) created by Philip Lemarchand, the French architect and genius of the occult. A background check further revealed that the site of the current library (70 Washington Square) was once the site of LeMarchand’s New York home. Even the library itself bears a striking resemblance to one of the puzzle boxes. A larger gateway perhaps, or maybe a landmark for unspeakable atrocities from the past. Of the ten men that were working on the construction project, only five escaped to speak of their discovery. The five men claim there were originally 60 boxes discovered, of which only 55 remain. The whereabouts of the five unaccounted for workers, as well as the five “missing” boxes, is still under investigation. It is said that LeMarchand created close to 300 of his puzzle boxes before his disappearance in 1811. Among his works, the "Lament Configuration" being the most widely recognized by scholars of the occult. His own disappearance steeped in mystery, a blood coated room and a single lament box, in the last place he was known to reside. A fitting end to the man whose work brought the disappearance of hundreds? Or the rebirth of evil into a completely different realm? this is the different names for the box=-The Lament Configuration ("The Box of Sorrows")- -The Threnody Configuration ("Mock of The Infidel")- -The Elegy Configuration ("The Chains of Verekna")- -Misery's Canticle - The Coenobium Construct ("The Box Of Souls")- -Jeremiad Enigma ("The Box of Woes")- -The Diviner's Secret Window- -Filigree and Shadow- -The Child's Own Losses ("The Stealer Of Innocence")- -The Triumph of Judas- -Love's Easy Tears ("The Box Of Temptation")- -The Troubled Walk ("The Box of Grief")- -Free The Broken Spirit ("The Box of Pleasures")- -Cage of Desire ("The Dreamweave Cube")- -The Hollow Heart ("The Heart of Empire")- -Veil of Shadows ("The Enochian Conundrum")-

The LeMarchand puzzle box known as The Child's Own Losses was first purchased by Voltaire at his Ferny Estate during one of LeMarchand's legendary auctions in 1749. Voltaire later presented the box as a gift to the Grand Master of the Nine Sisters Lodge in Paris - Benjamin Franklin. Philip LeMarchand first met Benjamin Franklin during a Masonic conference in New York, 1753. The two shared interests in natural science and the hidden sciences of the Occult. They made several trips to Europe together in the 1770s. They primarily stayed in London but often dared travel to Paris with LeMarchand in disguise so as to not alert "the authorities" to his return. During these journeys, Franklin made a point to always publicly introduce LeMarchand as "The Professor." It was Franklin who introduced "The Professor" to George Washington in 1775 at a dinner party held for the American flag committee. It is said that LeMarchand (as the Professor) "put forward several proposals about the design of the flag which were eagerly accepted by the committee without argument." Franklin, was also a Rosicrucian Grand Master, who was at the heart of the Illuminati operations to take over America and replace the visible control of the British Empire with the invisible control of the secret brotherhood, the most effective and ongoing form of mastering the underclass. It is said the Illuminati, via the Freemasons, controlled and manipulated both sides in the American War of Independence and were also deeply connected with the French Revolution (1789). Franklin was Agent 72 of the British intelligence agency created by Dr. John Dee ( Dee coined the phrase "British Empire" and was the Astrologer to the Queen ) and Francis Bacon during the rein of Elizabeth I. During their time in London, Franklin and the Professor were brought into contact with those in positions of power who shared their Masonic and occult interests. One of these was Sir Francis Dashwood, the English Chancellor of the Exchequer who was also the founder of a secret society called the Friars of St. Francis of Wycombe, more popularly known in the parlors of London as the Hell Fire Club Franklin and LeMarchand spent a summer at Dashwood's estate in West Wycombe, north of London, where they took part in rituals in the specially-created caves dug on Dashwood's orders. Dashwood and Franklin, both postmasters, together were able to control and disseminate intelligence better than the military. Postmaster at this point in history meant spymaster as the postmasters controlled the movement of information. "Did this day Heliograph intelligence from Doctor Franklin in Paris to Wycombe." ~ John Norris, Agent of Dashwood in a letter dated June 3 1778. In 1998, during an excavation under Franklin's former home at 36 Craven Street near Trafalgar Square in London, the remains of ten bodies (six of them children) were discovered. It has been proposed that Franklin and his house mate may have been acquiring bodies for medical research and not for occult purposes. In either case, no trace of LeMarchand's "most colorful creation" was ever found among Franklin's estate. The Sunday Times | February 11, 1998 -I go to high wycombe hellfire caves and LeMarchand is even linked to these.i haver pictures of the inside of the hell fire cave ;D

Hey Brills, can you post up a pic or two of these caves then? Right so we have LeMarchand as the main contender, but some of the descriptions of this reclusive deep thinking man appear a bit at a cross purpose to an occultist? I could be wrong here but will try and root out any other possible candidates, but your Frenchie is in pole position to date.

Are these natural caves or hewn out BrillsB? thats the most interesting choice of building I've ever seen by a cave if it leads to natural ones if they are. On moonlit nights in the reign of England's King George, influential aristocrats, intellectuals, artists and freethinkers of the age could be seen travelling slowly in gondolas up the river from London to an old ruined abbey at the base of a large hill in the countryside. There, to the sonorous tolling of the deconsecrated cloister bell, they changed into hooded robes inscribed with the motto 'Love & Friendship' before descending into the dark catacombs that ran a mile long 300 feet below the hill. The caves were used in prehistoric times for pagan rituals and now provided a clandestine meeting place for persons of quality to enjoy each others companionship and conversation whilst engaging in what were considered to be immoral sexual acts. Along with their clothes these respectable ladies and gentlemen also cast off the inhibitions and restrictions imposed by society to transform into debauched rakes and wanton sluts indulging in all manner of depravity in ritualistic displays of male domination & female submission. These satyr and nymph disciples of Bacchus and Venus took physical sex to itd limits whilst exploring the psychological nature of love, lust, sex and submission. This exclusive group of hedonistic libertines become infamous in history as the notorious Hellfire Club. What really went on in those underground caverns nobody knows except for the members themselves, and they never revealed their sordid secrets. The caves were on the estate of Sir Francis Dashwood, founder and host of the Hellfire Club, who placed above the doorway the motto "Fait Ce Que Tu Voudras" which translates today as "Do As You Please". At the cave entrance stood a statue of Angerona, Roman goddess of pleasure Egyptian goddess of silence, with a finger pressed to her lips as a reminder that what went on inside was not to be spoken of outside Supposedly of very ancient origin these unique caves were extended in the 1740’s by the infamous Sir Francis Dashwood, founder of the notorious Hellfire Club. His aim was to provide an extraordinary addition to his landscape gardens, no doubt inspired by his Grand Tours of Europe and the Ottoman Empire. Many of his fellow dilettantes were building great Estates and landscaping gardens and temples above ground but no others dared venture underground in this way. The chalk was used to build the main road from West Wycombe to High Wycombe. This also provided employment to the Villagers of West Wycombe following a succession of harvest failures. The achievement is a true feat of engineering and quite remarkable considering they were all dug by hand. You can still see the individual pick axe marks on the walls. On his return from his travels Sir Francis established the famous Hell-fire Club which subsequently held chapter meetings in the Caves and whose members included Lord Sandwich, John Wilkes and other senior aristocrats and statesmen. Sir Francis later became Chancellor of the Exchequer. Benjamin Franklin was a close friend and visited West Wycombe often. ;D
