Tell you the truth Wiggy, I put more faith in this one being real than I do nessie, the Great lakes are huge, more like inland seas, there could be anything in them.

well you never know, there could be something lurking about in these waters and it is connected directly to the sea I think that it is possible for a sea serpent like creature to exist in large bodies of water but they are a rare species for sure.I wonder how they taste? might be good eating if dipped in some nice lousianna hot sauce.

i do think sea or lake monsters exist but as ever the proof is speculative.any ripple in the water can be called a moving serpent but one day a carcus or bones will be found

i do think sea or lake monsters exist Frickin sceptic, you do however believe that aliens go round probeing people nether regions and yet a large sea serpant living in a small tourist lake in Scotland is beyond you. I have a feeling you are working for the government to try to hamper my efforts at disclousure of all things sea serpanty. What? "serpanty" is a word.

Years ago. I had a rowing training camp on this very lake. Okanagan lake. Near Kelowna in the BC interior. Wine making country. We never saw anything. Two weeks of 6 hours a day on the water. Ahh. The good ol days.
Anyway.
It's a big lake. But, by no means great. The main points are it is a lake, surrounded by really big hills. The Rocky mountains. It drains into the columbia river system, eventually making it's way to the pacific. So, if this thing exists, there should be sightings all around the areas of the columbia river. If it exists in this lake alone. Then there should be enough of an actual population within the lake to provide enough diversity to keep the gene-pool clean. This would require a rather large population, and there should be many more sightings than are recorded. Not to mention the food supply to support this population.
If anythig I would guess at wind/current action caused by cold deep water mixing with warm shallow water being blown by wids off the mountains.
