Yeah Brill calm before the storm at the moment. It is still building, could be a cat 5 when it hits the coast.
If it makes cat 5 it will be extreme, the last cat 5 was Cyclone Tracy 1974 that destroyed Darwin. There is a second Cyclone that could hit Darwin sometime today.
Been a good week for it, a few days ago I experienced my first Earthquake, shook the town for 20 seconds. Centered about a 100 km away, 5.4.

Thanks Rare, it has headed inland and dropped to a Cat 1, we are getting a bit more rain and a gusty wind. Just got to see how much water is coming this way. Lots of Houses damaged North of me.

Oh yeah the knock on effect, boats and waders required. I remember the croc's in town ! I was wondering what category do you evacuate at ? Keep dry

They usually evacuate at category 4 if you are in the direct path, but mostly evacuation is because of flood water. Our river will peak tomorrow, caused by inland rain. It will be below the level that flooded the town two years ago.

All good, the Cyclone went inland. Just a bit more Water in the River for a few Days.
