As you all probably know I am a chef. I like the fancy stuff, do the fancy stuff. I'm not into organics (choke, choke) but I likes me food. Steak (striploins are my favorite), taters and the occasional vegetable. The ultimate for me is a well made pizza. Interested to know your faves. I have a culinary competition coming up on Thursday. Will post pics if you are interested. Peace, Slith

ok mine at the moment is a chicken breast with Italian grated cheese on top and abit of basil which is then wrapped up with procetta ham!(that posh thin ham) fry it either side for a few minutes! then with that I have creamy leeks and cheese which is just 3 leeks chopped up 200ml of cream along with 200grams of cheese half of which you put in the leeks and craem after you have cooked the leeks in a saucepan with abit of garlic! mix it up then put in an oven dish with the rest of the cheese sprinkled on top then put in the oven for 20 mins! Its bloody delicious!!!!! If you want the proper reciepy then can put it on for you!

Would love to see the pics Slith, what are you going to enter in the competition?
My favorite foods are mostly seafood, shrimp, salmon, etc...........I also love that white sauce you put on beef ...........what is it called? Something that starts with a B.... , it is creamy and rich..........
I had a friend who entered a competition one year making gingerbread houses as the main theme for christmas only using food, there was some wonderful displays! Ponds with fish in them, roofs made of sliced almonds, all kinds of creative things! Culinary truly is an art form!
Oh and I love me some Italian food, like the dipping oils and Brushetta, eggplant Parmesan. Then fried chicken, Ruebens........ rice pudding........bacon...........Jambalaya, gosh I could go on and on........
You asked! hahaha..............Now I am going to find me some lunch~
And good luck in the competition..........

Nice stuff folks, but apparently I have posted in the wrong category again. Your food sounds really, really good. Let me throw this at you, for critique because I am going into a culinary competition on Thursday and the category is quiche. Here's my menu. Smoked salmon, with caper and lemon zest quiche, poached in a banana leaf, set on a fresh green and white asparagus salad in a rice wine vinaigrette. Garnished with two gingerbread simitar cookies (Arabian Swords). Accompanied with a drizzle of Sambucca over the quiche. Should I cahnge this? I think the flavor combo works, but am open to advise. Peace, Slith
